DR CRAIG LAYT

Dr Craig Layt, Supervising Specialist Senior Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon MED0001189663, MBBS (QLD) FRACS (Plastic)

Dr Craig Layt graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1988. He undertook his general surgery training at the Princess Alexandra, Mater, and Greenslopes Hospitals in Brisbane and the General Hospital in Townsville.

Dr Layt trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, the Princess Alexandra, Mater Hospitals and Melbourne Hospitals. He has been a qualified Plastic Surgeon since 2000. Now, he utilises his training as a private practice plastic surgeon, bringing his skill to the Gold Coast, Queensland. Dr Layt has been in private practice since 2000. 2024 marks Dr Layt’s 24th year as a Plastic Surgeon on the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Regions. During his training and many years of service, he has been involved in many tens of thousands of surgical procedures, procedures and clinical trials.

Dr Layt is highly credentialed in all areas of Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. He is dedicated to a high standard of patient care and the achievement of excellent results. He insists that each patient fully understand the benefits, risks, and limitations of the procedure they have selected before undergoing surgery, in order to maximise patient satisfaction.

Dr Layt has performed over 8000 Breast Procedures alone and has a special interest in Augmentation Mastopexy.  Dr Layt is also a Past President of ASAPS, the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Dr Layt is an international speaker and has presentations and publications spanning over 30 years. Recent publications include: Chapter in Clinics in Plastic Surgery: January 2021; Augmentation Mastopexy: Planning and Performance for Predictability: Management of Complications; and Best Cosmetic Surgery Paper 2022, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; December 2021; A Novel Classification of the Inframammary Fold for Use in Primary breast Augmentation.  Dr Layt regularly attends both Australian and International meetings both as a delegate and as an invited speaker.

Dr Layt is also a trained pilot and enjoys the genetic planning of cattle production.

 

DR LUKE STRADWICK

Dr Luke Stradwick, Supervising Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon MED0001189830. MBBS (Hons) BMedSci (Hons) FRACS.

Gold Coast Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr Luke Stradwick, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.   The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons only accepts those cosmetic and plastic surgeons who are fully trained in the field of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery.  Dr Stradwick is also a member of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is an International Active Member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr Stradwick undertook his undergraduate medical training in Adelaide and graduated with Honours.  He was also awarded the University prize in surgery.  He also completed his Bachelor of Medical Science degree, again graduating with Honours.

In addition to completing his training to become a medical practitioner, Dr Stradwick also completed an additional 8 years of extensive formal training and examinations. Dr Stradwick qualified as a Plastic Surgeon in 2003. He has been involved in over 20,000 surgical procedures and has an impeccable record and is highly regarded by his colleagues for his technical skills and clinical ability.

Dr Paul Ting-Yuan Cheng

Dr Paul Cheng is a New Zealand trained Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon MED0002720769.
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
Bachelor of Human Biology (BHB) , FRACS.
He will begin the Breast Academy Fellowship program in Feb 2024 to July 2024.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr Cheng moved to New Zealand at a young age. 

 He grew up in Auckland, and graduated from Macleans College with the ASB Scholarship and the Katherine Mansfield Trophy for the top scholar.  He then obtained his primary medical degree from the University of Auckland, graduated with the
Senior Prize in Medicine. 

After qualifying as a doctor in November 2008, he had worked in a variety of surgical specialties.  He also had obtained further qualification of Post-Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Otago, graduated with the Distinction Award.

Dr Cheng went on to complete his specialist training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, at various training units throughout New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton).  He had received the Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2022.  He had numerous publication in renowned medical journals, and he had been regularly involved in surgical education of junior colleagues - including being a RACS examiner for Part I Clinical Examinations since October 2023.

Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is about principles and techniques.  FRACS-qualified Plastic Surgeons are able to apply their skills to restore (or improve) tissues and reverse age related changes in a way that no other surgeon is trained.  Dr Cheng is passionate and dedicated to be trained as a specialist Plastic Surgeon and offers this specialist skills to his patients.

Dr Cheng has been working as a specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton.  He also provides specialist service in the private sector.  He enjoys all aspects of plastic & reconstructive surgery, including skin cancer surgery / hand surgery / breast & body contouring surgery / burn & trauma reconstruction / microsurgery, etc.  He is passionate in delivering the highest standard of care to his patients.  Dr Cheng offers all his patients individualised, discreet, personal and high quality care, from the consultation through to the procedure and the after-care offered.

As of August 2023, Dr Cheng has undertaken a career break from New Zealand, to pursue further post-fellowship training from various internationally renowned experts in Australia / Taiwan.

Holly manages all aspects of the Clinic and the Fellowship program for our surgeons at Breast Academy. Coordinating the surgeons medical accreditation and HR requirements. She is friendly, organised and welcoming to all patients at Breast Academy. Holly covers all senior administration aspects for Breast Academy.

She is passionate about what we do and has an in-depth understanding of clinic processes, enabling her to provide a high level of care and professionalism to our patients.

She is passionate about providing the best customer service and helping our patients with all surgical enquiries and appointment information.
